Happy Halloween from CareKit Community!
Today we had the joy of delivering CareKits to Parkville Community School, a vibrant K–6th grade school in Hartford, Connecticut, where education and community care go hand in hand.
Parkville isn’t just a school—it’s a pillar of support for families across the neighborhood. The school is part of a community complex model that brings essential services under one roof, creating a safe, accessible space for children and their families. With strong partnerships including the Parkville Senior Center, Hartford Public Library, Catholic Family Charities, and Charter Oak Health Center, Parkville helps ensure that students have more than just academics—they have access to food, healthcare, enrichment programs, and social support.
By distributing hygiene kits filled with essentials like soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and bandages, we’re proud to support Parkville’s mission of holistic care. These simple items play a key role in helping students feel confident, healthy, and ready to thrive—at school and beyond.
“It takes a village to raise a child,” and Parkville Community School exemplifies that every day. We’re honored to be part of their village this Halloween.
Thank you to the staff, families, and community partners who make this work possible. Together, we’re building a cleaner, kinder, and more connected Hartford.
