Host a Hygiene Drive

Real World Example

Brooke and Larissa, graduate students in the Social Work program at the University of Connecticut, launched a CareKit Community Hygiene Drive as part of a class project - and the response was incredible. After sharing a Facebook post, they were overwhelmed by the generous response receiving over 700 donated items and monetary gifts. Thanks to the kindness of their community, they packed over 120 CareKits which they donated to Mercy Housing and Shelter in Hartford, CT.

How to Host a Hygiene Drive

01.

Register Your Drive

Fill out our quick interest form below to get started! You don’t need to have every detail figured out — we’re here to guide you through the planning process.

02.

Wait for Support Materials

Once we receive your form, we’ll reach out to you to learn more about your Hygiene Drive and provide helpful resources.

03.

Spread the Word and Start Collecting

Set up a donation bin, promote your drive, and watch it grow! Invite your school, workplace, church, or community to participate. Gather your friends, members and neighbors together to donate personal care items.

04.

Donate Locally

When your drive is complete, you can set up a CareKit Community Packing Party to assemble CareKits and deliver the CareKits directly to a local school, food bank, or organization in need. Need help finding one? We can assist with local recommendations.

Distribution Guidelines for CareKits

At CareKit Community, we provide essential CareKits filled with basic hygiene products for those in need. While we supply the CareKits, distribution is managed by the receiving organizations. CareKit Community is not responsible for product distribution. Thank you for your commitment to improving hygiene access in our communities!
