A Caring Campus: Spotlight on Weaver High School

We had the joy of dropping off 20 CareKits at Weaver High School in Hartford, CT. Weaver is a vibrant and growing school serving approximately 450 students in grades 9 through 12. Located in the North End of Hartford, the school shares a campus with Kinsella Magnet High School, creating a dynamic educational environment that emphasizes community, creativity, and student success.

It was such a pleasure meeting Ms. Sandra Palmer, the school’s dedicated Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Palmer plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellness of students at Weaver. From providing routine care to being a trusted adult presence on campus, her impact is clear. She spoke passionately about the importance of having essential hygiene items on hand—many of which are not always accessible to students who need them most.

We’re proud to partner with schools like Weaver that not only provide strong academic programs but also prioritize the well-being of their students. With each CareKit, we hope to bring comfort, dignity, and support to teens navigating life both inside and outside the classroom.
